Begin in Giverny, the picturesque village where Claude Monet lived and worked for more than forty years. Visit the artist’s house, the colourful Clos Normand flower garden, and the famous Japanese-inspired water garden that gave birth to the celebrated Water Lilies series. Inside the house, discover Monet’s private world and his remarkable collection of Japanese prints.
After time for lunch, continue to Rouen, Normandy’s historic capital. Enjoy a guided walk through its atmospheric medieval streets, timber-framed houses, elegant squares, and the magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral, immortalised in Monet’s celebrated series of paintings.
In the late afternoon, travel towards Bayeux or Port-en-Bessin and settle into your selected hotel.

    Day 2 – Bayeux & the D-Day Landing Beaches

Begin the day in Bayeux, one of Normandy’s best-preserved historic towns. Depending on availability and your interests, visit the Bayeux Tapestry Museum or enjoy a guided walk through the old town and cathedral quarter.
Continue to the Caen Memorial, whose exhibitions provide essential historical context on the Second World War, the Normandy landings, and the events that shaped modern Europe.
In the afternoon, follow the coast to the major American D-Day sites. Visit Omaha Beach and the Normandy American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, a profoundly moving memorial overlooking the sea. Continue to Pointe du Hoc, where US Army Rangers scaled the cliffs on 6 June 1944. The preserved bunkers and bomb craters reveal the extraordinary intensity of the battle.
Return to your hotel after this memorable day of history and remembrance.

    Day 3 – Villedieu-les-Poêles & Mont-Saint-Michel
After breakfast, depart for Villedieu-les-Poêles, a town renowned for centuries of copper craftsmanship and bell-making. Discover its artisan heritage and, subject to opening schedules, visit the traditional bell foundry.
Continue to Mont-Saint-Michel, one of France’s most iconic landmarks. Rising dramatically from the bay, this medieval village and Benedictine abbey form an exceptional architectural ensemble recognised by UNESCO.

Meet your private guide and explore the narrow lanes, ancient ramparts, monastic buildings, and magnificent abbey church. Along the way, learn how Mont-Saint-Michel developed from an important medieval pilgrimage destination into an enduring symbol of French history and ingenuity.
