Walking discovery in Old Town (Vieux Nice)

Morning : Markets, Baroque corners & panoramic viewpoints

We begin on foot in the heart of the city, starting around Place Masséna and the Fontaine du Soleil, a lively meeting point where you feel Nice’s Mediterranean energy right away. From here, you continue toward the Old Town, passing contemporary landmarks such as Neuf Lignes Obliques, then the Opéra de Nice and elegant façades that speak to Nice’s Belle Époque heritage.

As the streets tighten into the Old Town, the pace becomes intimate. You explore the historic center’s small squares and hidden alleys, with stops at key civic sites such as the Palais de Justice and the former Palace of the Kings of Sardinia, while your guide shares simple, memorable context about Nice’s Italian roots and shifting influences.

Next comes the atmosphere of Cours Saleya market, the city’s most iconic open-air scene.
    • Most days, it is the famous flower and produce market.
    • On Mondays, the space transforms into the much-loved antique market.
You can linger at the stalls, take photos, and, if you wish, pause for a quick taste or coffee.

You then visit the Baroque heart of Nice at the Cathédrale Sainte‑Réparate, followed by Place Rossetti, where the cathedral’s façade and surrounding cafés create a classic Riviera moment.

To finish the walking part on a high note, you climb (or take the easier access options depending on preference) to Castle Hill (Colline du Château) for the city’s most rewarding panoramas: sweeping views over the rooftops, the sea, and the port, plus the famous waterfall and the Bellanda Tower viewpoint. From here, you stroll back down toward the seafront for a final look at the coastline.

    Lunch break
Lunch at leisure (guest’s own expense)
Your chauffeur-guide suggests a short list of options based on your style, whether you prefer a relaxed table with sea views along the Promenade or a more local address tucked into Old Town. Timing remains flexible so you never feel rushed.
    Afternoon  drive through Nice
Scenic viewpoints, iconic addresses & elegant neighborhoods

After lunch, you continue comfortably by private vehicle for a broader understanding of Nice.
You first enjoy a classic drive along the Promenade des Anglais, where palm-lined perspectives, grand hotels, and the curve of the Baie des Anges set the scene. A photo stop at Hôtel Negresco is included if you wish.

From the seafront, you head inland to see another side of the city, including the impressive St Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cathedral, an unexpected jewel that reflects the Riviera’s international history.

You then continue toward Cimiez, a refined residential area known for its calm atmosphere, gardens, and Roman heritage. Depending on your interests, you can include a short stop near the gardens or arena area for views and context.

To end with the most spectacular perspectives, you drive to Mont Boron for high panoramas over the port and coastline, with photo stops tailored to the weather and the best light. You finish around Place Garibaldi and the area near the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, giving you a final contrast between heritage and modern Nice.

Return & drop-off at your hotel
You are dropped off at your hotel (or a central location in Nice on request), with recommendations for the rest of your stay if you would like them.
