Additional Info

  • Itinerary
At around 9 AM or later, a driver will pick you up from your hotel.

After about an hour of driving, you will arrive in the famous village where Monet lived for 40 years and ultimately spent his final days. All of his inspiration came from his garden, with its vibrant colors. You will have the opportunity to feel that creative inspiration as you visit his garden.

Prepare to step into Monet's world as you explore his house, where he lived and worked with his family. Discover his workshop, along with his exceptional collection of Japanese prints. In his living room, around sixty canvases have been reproduced and displayed as they were during his time there. For a chance to see original paintings, consider adding a visit to the Marmottan Museum in Paris to your itinerary!

Monet's love of Japanese art significantly influenced his work. Historians believe he first encountered engravings during a trip to Zaandam in Holland in 1871. Since then, he frequently attended Japanese art exhibitions and acquired no less than 231 engravings, including works by masters like Hokusai, Hiroshige, and Utamaro.

While in Giverny, you’ll also have the chance to explore a quintessential Normandy village, adding a unique touch to your day.

The Marmottan Museum showcases the best masterpieces of water lilies and gardens. We recommend combining your Giverny tour with either a morning or afternoon visit to the museum.

Depending on your chosen visit time, we offer a variety of lunch options. Whether it’s a meal at Moulin de Forge, La Corniche with its breathtaking view of the River Seine, a farm picnic featuring cider and cheese, or a surprise that our guide will reveal, we will ensure your lunch is a delightful part of your day.
