Additional Info

  • Itinerary
    Morning – Departure from Paris
Your private driver-guide meets you at your hotel or apartment in Paris. Depart towards Fontainebleau, located southeast of Paris, for a comfortable drive through the Île-de-France countryside.

    Château de Fontainebleau
Begin with a visit to the Château de Fontainebleau, one of the most important royal residences in France. Used by French sovereigns for centuries, from medieval kings to Napoleon III, Fontainebleau offers a remarkable journey through French history.
The visit can include the grand apartments, the Renaissance galleries, the famous François I Gallery, the chapel, the throne room of Napoleon I and the elegant courtyards. The château is less crowded than Versailles and offers a more intimate but equally impressive insight into royal and imperial France.
    Lunch at your own expense
Enjoy lunch near Fontainebleau or en route to Vaux-le-Vicomte. Depending on the clients’ preferences, lunch can be arranged in a traditional restaurant, a refined countryside setting, or at the château estate when available.

    Afternoon – Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte
Continue to Vaux-le-Vicomte, a masterpiece of 17th-century French classicism. Built for Nicolas Fouquet, Louis XIV’s powerful finance minister, the château brought together three great talents: architect Louis Le Vau, painter Charles Le Brun and landscape designer André Le Nôtre.
The estate is famous for its perfect harmony between architecture, interiors and gardens. Its beauty impressed — and perhaps provoked — Louis XIV, and later inspired the creation of Versailles.

During the visit, guests can explore the elegant salons, period interiors, dome views, formal gardens, terraces and grand perspectives. The gardens are particularly impressive, with geometric parterres, water features and long visual axes designed by Le Nôtre.

    Return to Paris
After the visit, return comfortably to Paris with drop-off at the hotel or preferred address.
